lawson- four months.

lawson,
i'm sorry that you are five and a half months old and i'm just now posting your 4 month update... the months keep slipping up on me- i'll try to do better with the next one!
 health:
as of your doctors appt (4.5 months) you were 12 lbs, 15.5 oz (3%) and 26 1/4" long (83%)... Dr. B reassured me that you are doing well, and you're just skinny and tall... he said that we don't have to worry about you getting enough, because if you were hungry you wouldn't be going through growth spurts- and jumping the curve on the height chart. you're hitting all the milestones and doing great!
routine and sleep:
you are now sleeping from about 9:30/10 to 6:30-7:30 each morning.
napping is still a little hit or miss. you like to take little cat naps during the day but have been a little easier to get to fall asleep- maybe because we're wearing you out with lots of outside time! and you're still eating every 2 hours or so.

your bedtime is still around 9:30-10, and you're still sleeping in the rock n play beside mommy's side of the bed... i think you are more and more aware that i am there, and you give me the sweetest smiles in the morning when you wake up. it definitely makes the mornings a little bit easier since you are so happy to see me.
clothes and diapers:
we've moved to mostly 6 month outfits- (except for with gap, 3-6 still works) and we just moved to size 2 diapers.

diet:
you're still mostly just nursing, adding in a bottle or two a day of breast milk (about 4-6 oz daily). we've tried formula several times, but you are not a fan and would rather just wait on me to feed you. i'm really wishing that you would take it occasionally (because it would take a little stress off of me) so we will continue to try it here and there and i'll keep pumping to give you what i can in a bottle as well.
our favorite baby gear
i've found that you really like sound machines- either your sleep sheep on the go or the nature music on your swing during naps (which unfortunately only lasts a short time, and i have to keep sneaking back to turn it back on when you stir)

milestones and development:
you are moving (kind of in a circular motion) by kicking your legs and scooting when you're laying on your back on your play mat. you're holding yourself up so well and getting close to being able to sit up with assistance.
likes:
we took you to the pool for the first time this month and on your first vacation to myrtle beach- and you seem to really love the water (which is no surprise because you've always liked bath time!)
dislikes:
you don't like tummy time or riding in the car, still. we drove home from myrtle beach at bedtime so that you would sleep, and you did great with that.

you're the sweetest little squish and i am so glad that you're mine!
